Locking Pin Sleeves - What are they and what are they for?

New for the 26-27 season, we are now including a set of 4 1/4" long nylon sleeves for your locking pins. . We are including a set of 4 nylon sleeves along with every set of bindings for the 26-27 season. These are only meant to be used for specific binding sizes in order to prevent the flick locks from sticking.

You will use these nylon sleeves if you have a set of a bindings that are sized to have the bail block screws in the outermost position as shown here (insert photo of bail block ) . For Small/Medium M6 Bindings  this would mean a size 25 or 28 in the most commonly used boots such as the Slipper, Backland or Disruptives . For Large/Extra Large, this is a 29 or a 32 . As of the 26-27 season, these nylon sleeves are coming preinstalled for these sizes. If you have ordered bindings prior to the 26-27 season, please contact us and we will send you a set at no charge. 

It is important to note that if your bail block screws are in the middle (photo)  or inner (photo) positions, you SHOULD NOT use these sleeves, as there is no need for them .  For Small/Medium bindings, this would include sizes 23, 24, 26 and 27 in the most commonly used boots such as the Slipper, Backland or Disruptives . For the Large/Extra Large sizes, this includes sizes 28, 30 and 31 .

Installation Instructions 

Step 1 - Open your flick lever and use the 8mm socket included with your tool kit to remove the jam nut on the locking pin. photo

Step 2 - With the jam nut removed, use the flathead bit included with your tool kit to thread the locking in towards the center of the binding until it releases from the flick lever , and gently remove it. photo

Step 3 - Put the 1/4" nylon sleeve over the threads over the locking pin and push it to the end of the threads, so the sleeve is sitting against the body of the locking pin ( the smooth, unthreaded portion. photo

Step 4 - Reinstall the locking pin into the flick lever and wave spring photo

Step 5 - Set the locking pin to the correct length, and reinstall the jam nut by using the 8mm socket. photo 

Step 6 - Repeat steps 1-5 for the other bail block. 

Step 7 - Verify the correct fitment of your locking pins onto your board cleats, and ensure that the jam nuts are tight.  possibly reuse photo from website.
